Tonight a pretty "lady bug" (ABY) and a cute "little pumpkin" (RYAN) came to our house tonight. They were wearing their festive costumes when they came to bops' and nanny's house. Jesus loves children. In the New Testament we are told above a day when children were brought to Jesus. Initially HIS disciples rebuked those bringing the children, but Jesus corrected HIS disciples' shortsightedness by saying, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14 - Holy Bible).
The two above children are special to me because they are two of my four grandchildren. I know that they will learn about Jesus and HIS amazing grace, but what about the other children of Mansfield who do not have parent's that will introduce them to Jesus? I believe my church (Rockway Church) has the unique opportunity to impact the lives of the children of Mansfield. The choice is clear. We can be like the disciples who actively blocked the children access to Jesus, or we can be like the Lord Jesus who embrased and blessed them.
